The COMESA Business Council has ushered in a new board after successfully hosting its 10th Annual General Meeting in Lusaka. The meeting brought together the CBC membership, private and the public sector stakeholders from the nineteen COMESA countries as well as development partners such as the USAID. The meeting validated the key achievements of the institution during the period 2015-2016 and looked at the roadmap towards 2017.
The CBC Board Chairperson Dr Amany Asfour retained her seat for another two year term. The position of CBC first vice Chairperson went to Mr Azim Currimjee from Mauritius, second vice chairperson is Ms Flora Mutahi from Kenya, Board Directors are Mr Solomon Afework Ethiopia, Mr Karl Chokothos Malawi, Mr Stephen Ruzibiza Rwanda, Mr Wilson Nancy Seychelles, Ms Amna Mahommed Ibrahium Elnour Sudan and Ms Roseta Chabala from Zambia.
