The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa COMESA has since inception strived to make doing business in the region and beyond easier and cheaper by trying to remove barriers of trade among the business communities.
Therefore the final objective of cooperation in Trade, Customs and Monetary Affairs is to achieve a fully integrated, internationally competitive and unified single economic space within which goods; services, capital and labour being able to move freely across national frontiers.
The main objective of COMESA’s existence is the promotion of trade and investments in the region and beyond.
