The British Government has said the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) has played an important role in the economic and political development of the African continent.
Speaking when he presented his letters of credence to the COMESA Secretary-General Sindiso Ngwenya, British High Commissioner accredited to Zambia His Excellence James Thornton said despite his country cutting down on aid to the African continent’s expenditure Britain is increasing expenditure on development.
