The COMESA region has initiated many climate resilient programmes to mitigate the effects of climate change to enable farmers produce enough food for consumption and the market.
Zambia like many other countries in the region has has also benefitted from this intervention and since received support from the COMESA climate Change programme.
This group of women from Nkotuchili group situated about 15 kilometers from the capital of Zambia Lusaka has received a total of 5 green houses which has already started giving them the much needed yield.
The Nkotuchili women group which means, “we are still around” operate from a one hectare plot 13 miles away from Lusaka city which also houses the COMESA secretariat.
