Objective of workshop

a) The general objectives of the regional workshop are;

• Review the pilot study results and methodologies in order to learn and derive a regional consensus;
• Review the 2012 COMESA data estimates for trade in services for each country;
• Review the 2012 COMESA data estimates for FDI statistics for each country;
• Review the conduct of surveys in countries with specific emphasis on TNCs statistics collection;

Expected Output

• Validated regional FDI Statistics data;
• Validated regional TIS data;
• Validated methodology for compilation of bilateral TIS estimates
