More than 500 projects worth nearly $70 billion were discussed during the three-day India-Africa project partnership conclave, which started on 17th march and ended on the 19th March 2013.
Over 900 delegates from 45 countries participated in the 9th edition of the conclave organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Export-Import Bank of India.
This was the largest ever participation with Burundi, Ethiopia and Zambia being some of the COMESA member states present at the conclave.
And speaking when he addressed the delegates at the same event, COMESA assistant Secretary-General in charge of programmes Ambassador Dr. Kipyego Cheluget, called on Indian investors to take advantage of the conducive economic environment in the COMESA region and Invest in various sectors of development.
