Lusaka, Thursday, March 22, 2018: The High Commissioner of Seychelles to the Republic of South Africa, H.E Mrs Marie Antoinette Rose-Quatre was accredited as the Permanent Representative of her country to COMESA. This followed her presentation of a letter of accreditation to Secretary General of COMESA, Thursday, March 22, 2018 Lusaka.
Seychelles is a member of COMESA fund and so far, benefited with 2.7 million Euros from Regional Integration Support Mechanism (RISM) Under the COMESA Adjustment Facility (CAF). Seychelles export to COMESA region accounted to more than USD 11million while import account to More than USD 48.3 million.
During her tenure as Permanent Representative to COMESA, the Mrs Rose-Quatre said her country will seek to expand her investment portfolio in the COMESA region including specific sector like tourism and the Information Technology.
She expressed her country’s appreciation in the manner the COMESA Secretariat was driving the integration agenda among the 19 Member States.
“I commend you, Secretary General for the great strides that COMESA has made which has been very beneficial to my country, Seychelles,” she said.
