The Ministerial Conference on Maritime Security in the Western Indian Ocean takes place on April 28-29, 2018 in Balaclava, Mauritius. COMESA, one of the four implementing organisations of the MAritime SEcurity (MASE) programme, will participate to this high profile event which will be preceded by a meeting of Senior Officials on April 26 and 27.
The Indian Ocean Commission (IOC), in collaboration with the Republic of Mauritius and the support of the European Union, is organizing Conference.
Some 150 delegates from around 30 States and Regional and International Organizations are expected to discuss issues and make collective decisions to effectively combat maritime crime and threats. COMESA, one of the four implementing organisations of the MAritime SEcurity (MASE) programme, will participate.
