Lanka Dorby is currently employed as the Information and Networking Director for COMESA.  One of the key focus areas of her mandate at COMESA is to assist main pillars of COMESA to enhance regional integration using ICT as a tool.

During her career, she has worked as the Director for Health Information and Information Technology for the Ministry of Health Seychelles for Five years and as the Director General for Information Technology for the Department of ICT Seychelles under the Office of the President for 10 years. In her tenure as the Director General for IT for the Government of Seychelles, she was in- charge of implementing the Electronic Government project. During this period, Electronic Government project of Seychelles was rated by UN as the number one in Africa.

She holds a Master of Science (MSc) from the University of Liverpool UK in Information Systems Management.
