Le Secrétariat

Basé à Lusaka (Zambie), COMESA Centre

Le Secrétariat est l’organe exécutif du COMESA. Il veille à la bonne exécution des règlements et directives adoptés par le Conseil des ministres et lui formule des recommandations stratégiques. Il est composé de la direction exécutive – Bureau du secrétaire général, des secrétaires généraux adjoints pour les programmes, les finances et l’administration, et de l’équipe de direction.

Bienvenue au Cabinet du Secrétaire général

Le Secrétaire général (SG) est le directeur général du Marché commun. Il représente le Marché commun dans l’exercice de sa personnalité juridique et assure le secrétariat de la Conférence et du Conseil. Son Cabinet veille à réalisation des objectifs énoncés dans le présent Traité du COMESA

OFFICE OF THE ASSISTANT SECRETARY GENERAL- PROGRAMMES

The office is in charge of five technical Divisions. These are Trade and Customs, Agriculture and Industry, Gender and Social Affairs, Infrastructure and Logistics and Information Technology.

OFFICE OF THE ASSISTANT SECRETARY GENERAL- ADMINISTRATION & FINANCE

This office is responsible for Administrative, Finance and Budgetary matters. It is responsible for two divisions; Administration and Finance.

The Executive Management is comprised of the Secretary General, Assistant Secretary General for Programs, and Assistant Secretary General Administration and Finance

Divisions and Units

The Secretariat is made of Divisions, Units and Projects who all work in collaboration as they implement the various programmes to realise the COMESA integration agenda. The Divisions, Units and Projects are split into three groups with some reporting to the Secretary General, others to the Assistant Secretary General Programmes and the Assistant Secretary General Administration and Finance respectively.
